Goddess Trailokya Sundari is a powerful manifestation of
Goddess Shakti. Story of Trailokya Sundari is found in the Kashi Kanda of Skanda
Purana and in Devi Bhagavatam.
Legend has it that when Goddess Shakti was fighting Demon
Durgasur, She released numerous forms of energy. One such energy was Trailokya
Sundari.
Trailokya Sundari then fought with the army of Durgasur. She
released fireballs on the army and created havoc on the battlefield.
Goddess Trailokya Sundari murti is worshipped in a temple
near Nal Koopeshwar in Varanasi.
Women pray at the temple for the long life of their
husbands. The goddess blesses devotees with peace and prosperity.
