Amarnath Yatra Registration 2018 to Begin from March 1, 2018

Shri Amarnath Yatra will commence on June 28, 2018 and will conclude on August 26, 2018. The compulsory registration for all yatras began from March 1, 2018. You can register and get yatra permit from notified Jammu and Kashmir Bank Branches, Punjab National Bank Branches and Yes Bank Branches. For Registration/ obtaining Yatra Permit, an intending Yatri shall have to submit filled-in prescribed Application Form and Compulsory Health Certificate issued by the Authorised Doctor/ Medical Institution. Application form, medical certificate form, list of notified bank branches, State-wise lists of Doctors/ Medical Institutions authorised to issue the prescribed Compulsory Health Certificate are available at Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board’s official website. Goddess Vishnu Durga

Vishnu Durga, also known as Narayani, is one among the numerous forms of Goddess Durga. Vishnu-Durga is regarded as the sister of Lord Krishna, born immediately before him. She is also known as Yoga Maya and is the child that flew away from the hand of Kamsa and warned him that Krishna has already born on the earth and will annihilate him in near future. Vishnu Durga shares many characteristics of Lord Vishnu including the dark complexion. She is four-armed and carries conch and discus (Sudarshana chakra) in her upper hand. Her normal right hand is in ‘abhaya posture’ – blessing or protection. Left hand is placed on her thigh She is always depicted in peaceful form (Samumya Vadana). What is the meaning of Subrahmanya?

Subrahmanya is one among the numerous names of Lord Muruga or Lord Kartikeya or Kartik. An important god in Hindu pantheon, he is the son of Lord Shiva and Parvati and is the army general of the Devas (gods). What does the term ‘Subrahmanya’ mean? In Sanskrit, ‘su’ means anything good natured or beautiful or good. ‘Brahmanya’ means a person who has had realized Brahman. Thus ‘Subrahmanya’ symbolically represents a good natured person who has had Brahman realization.

Virupaksha – About Virupaksha Form Of Hindu God Shiva

Virupaksha is a fierce form of Shiva. As per Hindu scriptures, Shiva took the Virupaksha form after the death of Mata Sati at Daksha Yajna. The death of Sati, produced inconceivable pain in Shiva – pangs of separation and loneliness. The pain soon gave way to unimaginable anger. Soon fire emanated from his eyes. Anger turned Shiva into Virupaksha, the savage malignant eyed one. Virupaksha was the family deity of Vijayanagara’s first dynasty. He was worshipped for peace, prosperity and for success in wars. Prasanna Virupaksha (a kind and benevolent form) was also worshipped in the Vijayanagara kingdom. The most famous temple dedicated to Virupaksha form of Shiva is located at Hampi near the banks of the Tungabhadra River in Karnataka. Peruvanam Pooram 2024 date – History Of Peruvanam Shiva Temple Pooram Festival - Complete List Of Temples Participating

Peruvanam Pooram is the annual festival observed at the Shiva Temple at Peruvanam near Cherpu in Thrissur District in Kerala. The famous pooram festival in the shrine is observed in Kumbham month. Peruvanam Pooram 2024 date is March 20. It is observed on the Punartham Nakshatra in Meena Masam. The highlight of the festival is caparisoned elephants, melam and fireworks. Puthiyakavu Pongala in Kollam – Sri Puthiyakavu Bhagavathi Temple Festival

Puthiyakavu Pongala is observed at the Sri Puthiyakavu Bhagavathi Temple located near Kollam Railway Station. The annual Pongala festival in the temple is observed on the last friday in Kumbham month. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali.  The annual festival in the temple is held in Malayalam Meena Masam (March - April). Rajapathy Kailasanathar Temple is one of the Nava Kailasam Temples and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located at Rajapathy in Thoothukudi District, Tamil Nadu. Amarnath Yatra Health Certificate Form 2018 is different from the previous years. The new form can be downloaded for free from the official yatra website. Due to the rise in causalities every year, authorities have decided to make medical certificate a must. The compulsory health certificate should be submitted at the time of registration.  Amarnath Yatra 2018  begins on June 28. Every person seeking registration to undertake the yatra must furnish a health certificate issued by a Registered Medical Practitioner (RMP). Kurangani Muthumalai Amman Kovil

Kurangani Muthumalai Amman Kovil is located at Kurangani in Thoothukudi District in Tamil Nadu. This ancient shrine is associated with the epic Ramayana. Muthumalai Amman Temple at Kurangani is around 32 km southeast of Thoothukudi and is around 23 km northeast of Tiruchendur. Legend has it that Mata Sita dropped a pearl here while she was forcibly being carried by Ravana. Later this pearl was discovered by the Sri Ram, Lakshman, Hanuman and the Vanarasena or Monkey Army. Curse on Duryodhana That He Will Die After His Thighs Are Broken

Duryodhana died after Bhima broke his thighs at the end of the Kurukshetra battle in the Mahabharata. Duryodhana was cursed first by Draupadi and later by Sage Maitreya that his thighs will be broken. Draupadi was dragged to the Hastinapura court and insulted by Kauravas, Shakuni and Karna after Yudhishtira lost the dice game.
