When to Perform Goddess Chandraghanta Devi Puja?
The ideal day to perform the puja:
- Third day of Navratri – Tritiya Tithi
- Tritiya Tithi – the third day after Amavasya (no moon day) in a Hindu lunar month.

Simple Goddess Chandraghanta Puja Vidhi
- The puja should be performed early morning during sunrise
- The murti (picture, photo or painting) of Goddess Chandraghanta should be placed on the east side of the house on a pink color cloth.
- The puja should be performed facing southeast.
- The person performing puja should wear pink color clothes.
- Take a kalash fill it with water and put pink color flowers. Close the kalash with a coconut and mango tree leaves. Keep this near the picture or sculpture or painting of Chandraghanta.
- The lamp should be lit using coconut oil. One wick is preferred.
- Dhoop or agarbatti should be of rose flowers.
- Pink color flowers should be offered.
- Offer uncooked rice.
- Offer gulal.
- Offer white chandan.
- Offer fragrance.
- Offer 7 Kamal Gatta.
- Prepare food using rice. The best food offered is kheer or payasam. This should be consumed after puja by family members and relatives.
- The mantra ॐ चण्डघंटायै देव्यै: नमः should be chanted 108 times. The count should be kept on a glass bead mala.
- The water in the kalash should be deposited under a peepal tree.
Special Pujas
- For early good marriage, offer Ittar or Attar to Goddess and then use it daily.
- For desire fulfillment in romantic matters, put white chandan offered to Goddess on navel.
- For solving money related problems, offer seven kamal ghatta to Goddess and keep them in cupboard or locker.
