Padinjattam Kozhuval Sree Puliyakkat Yogi Madam temple is located at Padinjattam Kozhuval near Nileshwar in Kasaragod district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Bhagavathy, Chamundi and numerous other deities that are worshipped in kavu and sacred places in the region. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for two days in Malayalam Thula Masam – Thulam 15 and Thulam 16 (October 31 and November 1).
The important theyyams that can be witnessed at Padinjattam Kozhuval Sree Puliyakkat Yogi Madam temple Anjanagum Bhootham, Cheriya Bhagavathy theyyam, Padaveeran theyyam, Bhairavan theyyam, Kuttisasthan, Pottan Daivam, Raktha Chamundi theyyam, Chooliyar Bhagavathy theyyam, Vishnumoorthi theyyam, Kammadathamma theyyam and Moovalakuzhi Chamundi.
This is a small temple with a small chathura sreekovil for
the main deity. The walls and roof of the shrine are decorated with traditional
temple motifs. Other deities worshipped in the temple can be found atop small
square platforms which are exposed to elements. Some deities are worshipped
under trees. There are also other smaller sreekovils. Sankranti in every
Malayalam month is of great importance here.
