Kuthyala Gopalakrishna And Annapoorneshwari Temple

Kuthyala Gopalakrishna And Annapoorneshwari temple is located at Ramdas Nagar near Kudlu in Kasaragod district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Santhana Gopalakrishna (Child form of Sri Krishna). The temple is famous as miracle temple providing cure to couples who are facing pregnancy related issues and are not having children.

The main murti worshipped in the temple is Santhana Gopalakrishna. The murti of Bhagavan Sri Krishna holds a child. Many couples perform Yakshagana as an offering in the temple. Miniature cradle made of gold, silver, wood and other metals are offered by devotees.


The other important deity worshipped in the temple is Goddess Annapoorneshwari.

Otthekola Mahotsava is an important ritual performed in the temple and is dedicated to Vishnumoorthi (Narasimha Avatar of Bhagavan Vishnu). A huge pyre is lit as part of the ritual. The performers walk and jump in the huge fire.

Yakshagana – Jodaata is a rare version of the Yakshagana performed in the temple. Here one theme (Prasanga) is performed by two different teams simultaneously adjacent to each other.
