Maruthamonpally Puthatt Bhagavathi Temple Festival

Maruthamonpally Puthatt Bhagavathi Temple is located at Maruthamonpally near Kottarakkara in Kollam district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy. The annual festival is held on Revathi nakshatra in Kumbha Masam (February – March). The temple has a square sanctum sanctorum – chathura sreekovil and shrines of upa devatas. The upa devatas include Shiva, Ganapathy and Sastha. The temple observes the annual pongala festival. The annual festival is famous for various rituals, pujas and Kerala temple performing arts. Tying of cradle on a tree in the temple is a unique ritual here. The temple also observes Navratri and Vidyarambham and the annual Thrikarthika festival in Dhanu Masam.

Changa Bhadrakali Temple – Festival

Changa Bhadrakali temple is located on the Arayanad – Vellanad road in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali. Thiroor Vadakurumba Kavu Temple – Vela Festival

Thiroor Vadakurumba Kavu temple is located at Thirur in Thrissur district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali. The annual Vela festival at Vadakurumba kavu begins on Revathi nakshatra is the most important festival in the temple and is famous as Kumbha Vela. Pottayil Bhagavathy temple –Subrahmanya temple is located at Eroor south in Tripunithura district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Subrahmanya and Goddess Bhagavathi. Annual festival is held in Kumbha Masam. Thaipooyam in Makara Masam is another important festival. The temple is associated with Sri Narayana Guru. The shrine has square sanctum sanctorum or chathura sreekovil for Bhagavathy and Subrahmania. The temple also has numerous other upa devatas including Ayyappa, Shiva and Ganapathy. Aryanad Anandeswaram Shiva temple is located at Aryanad in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Shiva – Mahadeva. Shivratri is an important festival in the temple.
