Amaravathi Noolampara Mahadeva temple is located at Amaravathy on Munnar – Kumily highway in Idukki district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Shiva – Mahadevar. Shivratri is an important festival in the temple.
This is an ancient temple with a chathura sreekovil. A Shivling is worshipped in the temple.
Shivratri festival is famous for ezhunnallathu, caparisoned elephant, melam, and Kerala traditional temple performing arts. Colorful procession with tableau, kavadi, characters from Hindu scriptures and traditional items make the festival popular in the area.
