Thannithode Mahadevar temple is located at Thannithodu in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Shiva – Mahadeva. Shivratri is an important festival in the temple.
This
is a very small temple with a chathura sreekovil. An ancient Shivling is
worshipped in the temple.
The
Shivratri festival in Kumbha Masam is observed with pujas, rituals, dhara and
homams.
The shrine observes other auspicious days in a Hindu calendar including Ramayana masam.
