Changa Bhadrakali Temple – Festival

Changa Bhadrakali temple is located on the Arayanad – Vellanad road in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali. The annual Kuthiyottam festival begins on Revathi nakshatra in Kumbha Masam (February – March).

The temple has a square sanctum sanctorum and shrines of upa devatas.

The deity is taken atop head of selected people on the occasion of the festival. Floats, tableau and procession are part of the ritual

The shrine is famous for rituals like Ottam and Nilathil poru.

The temple also observes Ramayana Masam, Navratri, Mandala kalam and Thrikarthika festival in Vrischika Masam.

Morning darshan and puja timing is from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM
Evening darshan and puja timing is from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
