Vengalam Hamsakulangara Shiva temple is located at Kattilappedika in Vengalam in Kozhikode district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Shiva – Mahadevar. Shivratri in Kumbha masam is an important festival in the temple.
This is an ancient temple with a chathura sreekovil. A Shivling is worshipped in the temple. There is a temple pond, nalambalam, namaskara mandapam, other temple structures and shrines of upa devatas.
Shivratri festival is famous for ezhunnallathu, melam, and Kerala traditional temple performing arts. Colorful procession is part of the festival.
The temple observes various other auspicious events and festivals including Ramayana masam, Thiruvathira and pradosham.
