Manthuruthy Madanthampuran Temple – Festival

Manthuruthy Madanthampuran Temple is located at Manthuruthy near Palode in Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Shiva and Bhagavathy. Shivratri is an important annual festival here.

The temple has two square sanctums – chathura sreekovil. Both the shrines are given equal importance. There are other upa devatas and a temple pond.

The temple organizes various kinds of pujas and rituals on Shivratri. Dhara, homam and various other pujas are part of the day. Kerala traditional folk art and procession are part of the festival.

The temple conducts Pongala festival.

The temple observes various other auspicious events and festivals including Ramayana masam, Prathishta dinam, Navratri, Thrikarthika and pradosham.
