Aryanad Anandeswaram Shiva Temple – Festival

Aryanad Anandeswaram Shiva temple is located at Aryanad in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Shiva – Mahadeva. Shivratri is an important festival in the temple.

This is an ancient temple and a rare swayambhu Shivling is worshipped in the round sanctum sanctorum – vatta sreekovil. The Karamana River flows nearby. The temple has a kodimaram and shrines of upa devatas.

The upa devatas worshipped in the temple include Goddess Bhagavathy and Ganapathi. Pongala is held in the temple.

Various tantric and vedic rituals are part of the annual festival. Dhara, kalasabhishekam, homam, annadanam, traditional Kerala folk arts are part of the annual festival.

The shrine observes the Thrikarthika in Vrischika Masam and Thiruvathira in Dhanu Masam.

Morning darshan and puja timings are from 5:30 AM to 9:30 AM
Evening darshan and puja timings are from 5 PM to 7:30 PM.
