Mulanjoor Mannathu Kavu temple is located at Mulanjoor near Ottappalam in Palakkad district, Kerala. There are no temples at Mannath Kavu. Huge trees and kalvilakku can be seen here. A deity is worshipped under a tree – believed to be Bhagavathy or Mother Goddess. The annual Kutta Vilakku festival is held in Kumbha Masam.
The entire area of Mulanjoor Mannath Kavu is filled with huge trees of various kinds. This place points to the environmental protection which was always part of the culture of Hinduism (Sanatana Dharma).
Large numbers of lamps are lit at night on the occasion of the festival here. The shrine has a kodimaram or dwajasthambam (flag pole).
