ॐ ह्रीं ह्रीं सूर्याय नमः (Om Hreem Hreem Suryaya Namah) – the mantra should be chanted daily early in the morning looking at the rising 7 times.
On Sunday, the mantra should be chanted 108 times - after chanting the mantra the person should read the Aditya Hridaya Stotram (आदित्य ह्रदय स्तोत्र).
How to Chant the Surya Mantra?
- The devotee needs to wake up early in the morning and take bath.
- Wear orange or saffron color dress and first offer prayers to Ganesha in mind.
- Find a place from where the rising sun is visible.
- Offer water to Surya and then sit in meditation. Offer kumkum and red color flowers.
- Apply a tilak made using red chandan on the forehead.
