Khairatabad Ganesh 2019 Pictures – One Of The Biggest Ganpati Murtis in 2019 During Ganesh Chaturthi Festival

Hyderabad Khairatabad Ganesh Idol 2019 is having 12 faces and and it is called Sri Dwadasa Aditya Maha Ganapathi. The Khairatabad Ganesh Utsav Committee is celebrating 65th year of formation. The height of murti in 2019 will be nearly 61 feet. Ganesha Vigraha or Murti made during Ganesh Chaturthi festival at Khairatabad near Hyderabad are famous for its huge size. The Vinayak murti in 2019 is flanked by Lord Vishnu and Ekadasi Devi on the right side and Brahma Vishnu Mahesh and Durga on the left side.


This year Ganesh murti of Khairatabad is standing for 61-feet tall and face of the idol is like sun, with 12 heads, 24 hands and with seven horses in Suryudu Avatar

The murti is adorned with 12 serpents and riding a chariot with seven horses and other various idols of 16 feet will be placed around the Ganesh in a 65 feet high shed.

  • Every year the construction of the huge murti begins on Apara Ekadasi (May/June).
  • The chief artist, C. Rajendran, has been making the huge murti of 30 years.
  • First installed in 1954 by S. Shankaraiah.
  • The height of the murti had reached 60-feet in 2015. Now the height is scale down. 
  • The mammoth Tappeswaram laddoo sent by Mallibabu was one of the main attraction of the festival.
  • Devotees can bring ladoos and offer it to Ganapati which will be later distributed as prasad.
  • Each year the height of Ganpati is being reduced by one centimeter.
