Varaha - Boar Vishnu Avatar Big Statue At Eran in Madhya Pradesh

Eran Village is located on the banks of Bina River. The village is famous for a colossal statue of the Varaha incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Eran is located around 75 km northwest of Sagar and 80 km northeast of Vidisha. The colossal statue of Yajna Varaha is 14 feet long, 5 feet broad and 11 feet high. It is believed to have been constructed by Chandragupta Vikramaditya. It is decorated with sculpted bands with an inscription of the first year of Huna King Toramana’s reign.
