Kodallur Sree Kulangarakkavu Neeliyar Bhagavathi temple is located at Kodallur on Parassinikkadavu Kodallur Canal Rd in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Neeliyar Bhagavathi and there are numerous other deities in the temple. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for three days in Malayalam Vrischika Masam – Vrischikam 11 to Vrischikam 13 (November 26 to November 28).
Important theyyams that can be witnessed at Kodallur Sree Kulangarakkavu Neeliyar Bhagavathi temple are Kutty Theyyam, Neeliyar Bhagavathi theyyam, Pulli Vettakkorumakan theyyam, Velutha Bhootham and Vettakkorumakan theyyam.
This is a small shrine with a chathura sreekovil for the
main deity (square sanctum sanctorum). The roof of the shrine is traditionally
decorated. Sankranti in a Malayalam month is of great importance. There are
smaller sreekovils for other deities. Deities are also worshipped atop square
platforms and under trees.
