Kannothu Thazhathu Veedu Kavu temple is located at Kara- Peravoor in Sivapuram, Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Karnavar, Gulikan and other similar deities worshiped in Tharavadu temples in this region. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival at Kannothu Thazhathu Veedu Kavu temple is observed in Kumbha Masam – Kumbham 9 and Kumbham 10 (February 21 and February 22).
The main deity is worshipped in a chathura sreekovil – square sanctum sanctorum – which has a traditionally decorated roof and walls with religious motifs. Certain deities are worshipped on square platforms and under trees. Some deities have small sreekovil (s). Vishu is an important festival here. Sankranti in every Malayalam month is of great significance.
