Urattur Puthiya Bhagavathi Kavu temple is located at Urattur in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Puthiya Bhagavathi. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for two days in Malayalam Makara Masam – Makaram 28 to Makaram 29 (February 11 to February 12).
The main deities are worshipped in a square sanctum
sanctorum – chathura sreekovil. Some deities are worshipped on square platforms
which are open to the elements. Certain deities are given space under trees.
Vishu is an important festival here. Sankranti in every Malayalam month is of
great significance. The roof and the walls of the main temple is traditionally
decorated.

12-ന് പുലര്‍ച്ചെ വീരന്‍, വീരാളി തിറകള്‍, 4 മണിക്ക് കുളിച്ചെഴുന്നള്ളത്ത്, മേലേരി ഒരുക്കല്‍, മേലേരി പൂജ, വെളിച്ചപ്പാടിന്റെ മേലേരി വന്ദനം,
ൈകയേല്‍ക്കല്‍, പുതിയ ഭഗവതി തിറയും കൂടിയാട്ടവും, വാളും പരിചയും ഭഗവതിക്ക് കൈമാറല്‍, പ്രാര്‍ഥന നേരല്‍. 8 മണിക്ക് ഭദ്രകാളി തെയ്യത്തോടെ തിറയുത്സവം സമാപിക്കും.
