Koodali Muchilottu Bhagavathy Kavu temple is located at Karivellur in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Muchilottu Bhagavathy. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for three days in Malayalam Kumbha Masam – Kumbham 1 to Kumbham 3 (February 13 to Feb 15).
The main deities are worshipped in a square sanctum sanctorum – chathura sreekovil. Some deities are worshipped on square platforms which are open to the elements. Certain deities are given space under trees. Vishu is an important festival here. Sankranti in every Malayalam month is of great significance. The roof and the walls of the main temple is traditionally decorated.
