Bedira Kottaram Sree Aadhi Nalvar Devasthanam Temple – Theyyam Kaliyattam Festival – Several Rare Theyyams
Bedira Kottaram Sree Aadhi Nalvar Devasthanam temple (Cheviri Tharavadu) is located at Bedira near Maruthadukkam in Kasaragod district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Muthor, Bamberiyan, Manichi (മൂത്തോര്‍, ബംബേരിയന്‍, മാണിച്ചി) and other related deities. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is at Bedira Kottaram Sree Adinalvar Deivasthanam temple held for four days in Malayalam Kumbha Masam – Kumbham 4 to Kumbham 7 (February 16 to Feb 19).
The important theyyams that can be witnessed at Bedira
Kottaram Sree Adhinalvar Devasthanam temple are Muthoor Daivam, Bamberiyan
Daivam, Manichi Daivam, Kundanglayappan, Chamundi, Panchuruli Amma, Pashana
Moorthi, Rakteshwari Nalwar Daivam, Vishnumoorthi, Poronthi and Gulikan
theyyam.
The main deity is worshipped in a chathura sreekovil –
square sanctum sanctorum. There are other sreekovils for other deities. Some
important deities are worshipped atop square platforms and under trees. Vishu
is an important festival here. Sankranti in every Malayalam month is of great
importance.
കുണ്ടംകുഴിയപ്പന്റെ ഭണ്ഡാരവീടായ ബെദിര കൊട്ടാരം ആദിനാല്‍വര്‍ ദേവസ്ഥാനം ചേവിരി തറവാട്ടില്‍ കളിയാട്ടം Feb 16 മുതല്‍ 19 വരെ നടക്കും. Feb 16-ന് രാവിലെ ഉത്സവ കലവറനിറയ്ക്കും.

Feb 18-ന്
രാവിലെ ഏഴിന് കുണ്ടങ്കലയപ്പനും 10 മണിക്ക് ചാമുണ്ഡിയും.തുടര്‍ന്ന് പഞ്ചുരുളി അമ്മ. രാത്രി പാഷാണ മൂര്‍ത്തി.

രാവിലെ 10-ന് രക്തേശ്വരി നാല്‍വര്‍
ദൈവം. ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക്
രണ്ടിന് വിഷ്ണു മൂര്‍ത്തിയും രാത്രിപൊറോന്തി, ഗുളികന്‍ തെയ്യങ്ങളും. എല്ലാ ദിവസവും അന്നദാനവുമുണ്ടാകും
