Udinur Koolom Temple (Sri Kshetrapala Kshetram) is located at Udinoor in Kasaragod district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Kshetrapalaka. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for two days in Malayalam Kumbha Masam – Kumbham 3 and Kumbham 4 (February 15 and Feb 16).
The main deities worshiped in the temple are Kshetrapalaka
and Goddess Kalaratri. Both the deities face east. The Upa Devatas in the
temple are Padalakkara Bhagavathi and Vadakhbavathukal Bhagavathi.
This is a historical temple with a two-tier square sanctum sanctorum – randu nila chathura sreekovil, namaskara mandapam, chuttambalam and a well-maintained traditional step well type pond. The temple has traditional artworks on its roof and walls. There are smaller sreekovil (s) for subsidiary deities. Some deities are worshipped under trees and atop small raised square platforms. Vishu is an important festival here. Sankranti in very Malayalam month is of great significance.
