Kappetta Sree Muthappan Madappura temple is located at Kappetta near Malur in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Sree Muthappan. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for two days in Malayalam Kumbha Masam – Kumbham 2 to Kumbham 3 (February 14 to Feb 15).
The main deities are worshipped in chathura sreekovil – square sanctum sanctorum. There are other sreekovils for other deities. Some important deities are worshipped atop square platforms and under trees. Vishu is an important festival here. Sankranti in every Malayalam month is of great importance.
