Mathamangalam Neeliyar Bhagavathy temple is located at Mathamangalam in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Neeliyar Bhagavathy. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for five days in Malayalam Makara Masam – Makaram 21 to Makaram 25 (February 4 to Feb 8).
The main deities are worshipped in chathura sreekovil – square sanctum sanctorum. There are other sreekovils for other deities. Some important deities are worshipped atop square platforms and under trees. Vishu is an important festival here. Sankranti in every Malayalam month is of great importance.
