Vattianpolla theyyam (വട്ട്യന് പൊള്ള) is a very rare theyyam and is based on folklore theme and is performed in very few tharavadu or temples or sacred places in Kannur and Kasaragod region of Kerala. As per information, Vattianpolla theyyam is a Pulaya warrior theyyam. Vattianpolla theyyam story is that Vattianpolla defeating the English East India Company which had captured the forts of Kalathiri. It is said that Vattianpolla used his intelligence and wit to defeat the English.
