Manikundan theyyam is a rare theyyam performed in Kannur and Kasaragod regions of Kerala during the annual theyyam, thira and kaliyattam festival in Kerala. As per information, this is male theyyam and is associated with folklore. As per Manikundan theyyam story, he performed miracles to help family members of an important and people of the region. He was given a place of worship and a theyyam is performed annually to get his blessings.
Manikundan theyyam is performed annually at Pacheni Sree Madayil Bhagavathy temple (February 6 and February 7) and Narikode Ezhome Madayil Kottam temple (February 1 and February 2) in Kannur district, Kerala.
