Shravan Navratri Mela at Naina Devi Temple in Himachal Pradesh attracts more 100,000 devotees to this famous hill shrine. Naina Devi Mela 2024 (date) is from August 5 to August 14. The Shravan Shukla Paksha Ashtami (August 13) is of great importance at the shrine.

Devotees from Jammu, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh join the devotees from Himachal Pradesh in observing the rituals and festivities during the fair and festival.

Preparing jhoola or swing for Mother Goddess Naina Devi is an important ritual performed by devotees.

People carry flags, Prasad, red chunni (cloth), Prasad and chant the name the name of the Goddess.
The temple is decorated with flowers and lights for the occasion.

Mother Goddess is worshipped in nine different forms during the nine day festival.

The popular belief is that the eyes of Mata Sati fell here and therefore this is one among the 52 Shakti Peethas.

The mela is observed from Shravan Shukla Paksha Pratipada to Shravan Shukla Paksha Navami.
