Nara Narayana In Guru Tradition In Hinduism

Like Dakshinamurthy and Dattatreya, Nara Narayana are also incarnations, forming the source of the Guru order and the Guru tradition in Hinduism. Mahad Ganpati Temple Facts – Timings

Mahad Ganpati temple is also known as Mahad Varad Vinayak Temple or Mahad Ashtavinayak Temple. The temple is open daily from 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM. Perayam Neelimala Bhagavathy temple is located at Perayam near Nedumangad in Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala. Valarkavu Sri Durga Bhagavathi Temple – Festival

Valarkavu Sri Durga Bhagavathi Temple is located in Valarkkavu, Thrissur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali. The annual festival which is famous as Valarkavu is held in Kumbham month (February – March). Melambara Sree Dharma Sastha Temple – Festival

Melambara Sree Dharma Sastha temple, also known as Ambara Dharmasastha temple, is located at Melampara near Pala in Kottayam district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Ayyappa or Sastha. This is an ancient temple and the shrine observes its annual festival in Kumbham month. Panguni Uthiram (uthram nakshatra in Meena Masam) is an important festival here. The annual festival is famous for caparisoned elephants with thidambu, venjamaram and muthukuda. The deity is brought out during the festival for ezhunnallathu. How To Do Puja For A New Stove?

The puja for a new stove should be offered to Goddess Annapurna, the goddess of food in Hinduism. Here is a brief idea on how to do puja for a new stove? After placing the stove in kitchen, offer prayers to Goddess Annapurna. Then apply sandal paste on four sides of the stove. Chant the mantra – ह्रीं अन्नपूर्णायै नम : ॥ (Hreem Annapurnaye Namah) – 21 times. The first offering prepared should be a sweet made using jaggery. You can also simply boil milk. The sweet or milk should be shared among those residing in the house.

Nature and Definition of God In Vedanta

In Vedanta God should not be taken merely as an extra-cosmic Creator of the universe, creating the universe out of nothing by an act of will, as in Semitic religions. Neither is God a mere He. He is both personal and impersonal. He is only a convenient description to show that God is a conscious being (chaitanya) and not an inert existence (jada).
