Paal Kavadi is one among the different types of Kavadi taken
to hill temples of Lord Muruga. Paal or Pal means milk. Kavadi is two baskets or
vessels suspended from a bamboo pole, decorated with peacock feathers.
In Pal Kavadi the vessels containing milk will be tied one
either end of the stick.
During Thaipusam and important festivals associated with Muruga, people carry Paal Kavadi.
