Paravaha is the name of a wind mentioned in the Mahabharata.
In formation about it is found in the Moksha Dharma Parva Chapter 1643. It is
Bhishma Pitamaha who gives the information to the Pandavas about it.
When the time of death arrives, Paravaha wind takes away the
breath of life from all creatures. Mrityu (Death) and Yama follow its trail.
Yogis attain immortality by the mere touch or Paravaha.
Those whose life breaths are carried away by Paravaha attain
moksha and never enter the cycle of birth and death.
