Kunwara Bhimsen Mandir is located atop hill and is
surrounded by small hills with forts. The murti worshipped in the temple is
smeared with kumkum and is red in color.
There is a shallow well nearby which is always filled with
water.
The most important fair and festival is observe on Chaitra
Krishna Paksha Panchami or the fifth day during the waxing phase of moon as per
traditional Hindu Lunar Calendar followed in Maharashtra .
It is the birth anniversary of Kunwara Bhimsen.
Those people who have had their wishes fulfilled offer
prayers on the day. Music, dance, animal sacrifice and huge fair are part of
the festivities.
