Telankhedi Shiv Temple near Nagpur – Telangkhedi Temple

As the name indicates, Telankhedi Shiv Temple is dedicated to Hindu God Shiva and it is located at Telangkhedi near Nagpur in Maharashtra. A popular Hanuman Temple is also located nearby. The temple is around 6 km from Nagpur city center. A popular lake in the region is located nearby.

Telankhedi Shiv Temple attracts thousands of Shiva devotees in a month. The number of devotees visiting the temple swell manifold during Mahashivratri (February/March).

At the entrance of the small but ornate temple is a very beautiful sculpture of Nandi, the bull of Shiva.

This is a very ancient temple and one can find numerous other small shrines in the vicinity of the temple which are dedicated to other deities in the Hindu pantheon.
