Emerald Puja should be performed on Wednesday. Here is a
brief description on how to do puja of Emerald Ring with birthstone. Please
note that procedure of the Emerald stone is just a guideline and you can be
flexible while performing it.
When to do Emerald Puja?
The puja should be performed on Wednesday between 6:00 AM to
7:00 AM or 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. It is performed on Wednesday because Emerald is
associated with Budha or Mercury. In Hinduism, Wednesday or Budhwar is dedicated
to Budh.
Items needed while doing Emerald Puja
One Plate
A kalash made of silver or steel
Uncooked rice
Chandan
Kumkum
Betel leaves
Coconut
Green cloth
Flower garland
Milk
Sugar
Mishri
Elaichi
Camphor
Rose water
A sweet
Emerald Stone Puja
Procedure
After taking bath and purifying oneself offer prayers to
Ganesha. Then offer prayers to Budh.
Take the plate and spread rice over it.
Take the kalash and draw three lines with three fingers. Do
it five times . So that the kalash is decorated with chandan.
Apply kumkum to the kalash
Now place kalash over the plate with rice.
Pour milk into the kalash mixed with sugar, mishri, elachi,
camphor and rose water
Put the emerald ring or stone in the milk.
Keep five betel leaves on the inside part of the mouth of the
kalash
Keep coconut to cover the mouth of the kalash.
Decorate the coconut with chandan and kumkum
Put green cloth on the kalsh.
Decorate it with flower garland.
Chant Lakshmi mantra 324 times
Offer the Prasad
Perform aarti and conclude the puja.
You can now wear the stone or ring.
