The important theyyams that can be witnessed at Elayavoor Muchilottu Kavu temple are Kannangattu Bhagavathi theyyam, Vishnumoorthi theyyam, Narambil Bhagavathy theyyam, Puliyoor Kali, Puliyoor Kannan, Gulikan and Muchilottu Bhagavathi theyyam. This is a typical Kerala style temple seen throughout the Kannur region. The main deity is worshipped in a traditional chathura sreekovil (square sanctum sanctorum). The roof and walls of the shrines are decorated with traditional motifs. There are other smaller sreekovils for other deities. Some deities are worshipped atop square platform and under trees. Important pujas and rituals are performed on Sankranti day as per traditional Malayala Masam.
