Pala Ramapuram Mutharamman Kovil Temple – Festival

Pala Ramapuram Mutharamman Kovil (temple) is located at Ramapuram on Koothattukulam - Ramapuram Road, Ambalathazham in Kottayam district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Mutharamman – a powerful manifestation of Goddess Shakti. Pathamudayam festival, on April 23, is an important festival in the temple. This is a small traditional Bhagavathy temple of the goldsmith community. It has a west facing chathura sreekovil, namaskara mandapam and shrines of upa devatas. The shrine is surrounded by trees. Melam, traditional performing art forms of Kerala and Tantric pujas and rituals are part of the annual festival. The temple also observes Navratri and Thrikarthika festivals.

Pullode Kurumba Bhagavathy Temple – Festival

Pullode Kurumba Bhagavathy temple is located at Pullode near Alathur in Palakkad district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy or Devi. The annual vela festival is held after Vishu in Meda Masam. This is a small shrine with a chuttambalam and chathura sreekovil. Five caparisoned elephants participate in the annual festival. Velichappadu, poothan, thira, abhishekam and various Tantric pujas and rituals are part of the annual festivities. Concept of Work – As Explained By Adi Shankaracharya

Adi Shankaracharya is generally assumed to have decried the importance of work and to have given supremacy to jnana, knowledge, over everything else.
