Vishwakarma Jayanti is believed to be the day when Lord Vishwakarma the divine architect of the universe appeared on earth. This puja is offered in the Magh month (January – February) in North and western parts of India and it is on February 22
Vishwakarma Puja on September 17, 2024 is mainly observed in eastern parts of India – West Bengal , Jharkhand, Orissa and Tripura. This is the most famous and most important Biswakarma Puja in a year.

In Hindu religion, God Vishwakarma is the divine architect of the universe and the divine carpenter. His name first appears in the Rigveda and is also credited with Sthapatya Veda, the science of mechanics and architecture.
Special pujas are performed on the day in temples and in workplaces by laborers, artisans, carpenters, craftsmen, mechanics, smith and other workers.
It is believed that worship on the day will help in improving profits and having an accident free work environment.
