Vishwakarma Jayanti 2019 date

Vishwakarma Jayanti is believed to be the day when Lord Vishwakarma the divine architect of the universe appeared on earth. This puja is offered in the Magh month (January – February) in North and western parts of India and it is on February 17, 2019.  The most famous Vishwakarma Jayanti 2019 date is September 18. Another popular Vishwakarma Puja is held after Diwali on October 28, 2019 in Bihar and certain parts of North India. In Kerala it is also observed on Rishi Panchami day.

Vishwakarma Puja on September 17, 2019 is mainly observed in eastern parts of IndiaWest Bengal, Jharkhand, Orissa and Tripura. This is the most famous and most important Biswakarma Puja in a year.

Vishwakarma Puja is also held during the Diwali period in many parts of India.

In Hindu religion, God Vishwakarma is the divine architect of the universe and the divine carpenter. His name first appears in the Rigveda and is also credited with Sthapatya Veda, the science of mechanics and architecture.

Special pujas are performed on the day in temples and in workplaces by Laborers, artisans, carpenters, craftsmen, mechanics, smith and other workers.

Vishwakarma Jayanti in Magh month is mainly observed in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. It falls on Magh Shukla Paksha Trayodashi Tithi.
