Pavaratty Puthumanassery Narasimha Moorthy Temple – Festival

Pavaratty Puthumanassery Narasimha Moorthy temple is located at Pavaratty on Chakkamkandam – Kashmeer Road in Thrissur district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Narasimha Avatar of Bhagwan Vishnu. The annual Narasimha Jayanti festival is an important day in the temple and it is usually held on the Shukla paksha chaturdashi tithi in Malayalam Meda masam (most a day before Velutha Vavu in Meda Masam).

This is a small traditional Kerala style temple with a namaskara mandapam, east facing Chathura sreekovil, nalambalam and kalvilakku.

The annual festival is famous for various Vaishnava rituals and pujas including kalasham, homam and abhishekam.

The temple also observes various other Vishnu temple rituals and pujas including Vishu and Thiruvonam.
