Kottakkal Kuttippuram Narasimha Moorthy Temple – Festival

Kottakkal Kuttippuram Narasimha Moorthy temple is located at Kottakkal near Kuttippuram on Kottakkal Anappara Kadampuzha Road (near Kavathikkulam - Kottoor) in Malappuram district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Narasimha Moorthy (the man-lion avatar of Bhagwan Vishnu). The annual Narasimha Jayanti festival is an important day in the temple and it is usually held on the Shukla paksha chaturdashi tithi in Malayalam Meda masam.

This is a small traditional Kerala style temple with a namaskara mandapam, east facing Chathura two tier sreekovil, nalambalam, pond and balikalu. There are also shrines of upa devatas.

The annual festival is famous for various Vaishnava rituals and pujas including kalasham, homam and abhishekam.

The temple also observes various other Vishnu temple rituals and pujas including Vishu and Thiruvonam.
