Alappadamba Kannangattu Bhagavathy temple is located at Alappadamba near Mathil, Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy. The annual theyyam kaliyattam thira festival in the temple is held for four days in Kumbha Masam – Kumbham 23 to Kumbham 26 (March 7 to March 10).

Bhagavathy temple are Kannangattu Bhagavathy theyyam, Kundor Chamundi, Narambil
Bhagavathy theyyam, Puthiya Bhagavathy and Vishnumoorthi theyyam.
This is a small traditional Kerala style temple with a chathura sreekovil. The walls and roof of the sanctum are decorated with traditional temple motifs. There are no major structures. Other deities popularly worshipped in Kavu and temples in Kannur region are also worshipped in the temple in small sreekovils, under trees and atop raised square platforms, which are exposed to the elements.
The annual festival days are noted various unique pujas and
rituals, melam, decoration, fireworks and traditional temple performing art
forms.
Sankranti in every Malayalamasam and Vishu are important
days in the temple.
