Mela Chintpurni 2024 - Chinnamastika Mela at Chintpurni Temple in Una District in Himachal Pradesh

Chinnamastika Mela begins on the Shukla Paksha Pratipada of Shravan month – the first day of the waxing phase of moon as per traditional Hindu calendar followed in North India . In 2024, Chinnamastika Mela begins on August 5. The mela attracts thousands of people. Chintpurni   Temple is located atop the Sola Singhi Dhar in Una District. The mela is famous trading of traditional goods on the mountain region. It is widely believed that Pandit Mai Dass, an ardent devotee of Goddess Shakti, was given darshan in the vicinity of the present day temple in a dream by Chinnamastika Devi. She asked him to find Her Pindi which was located nearby and she also provided information about a pond. The present day temple is located at the spot where Pandit Mai Dass discovered the Pindi. 

Kurinji Flower and Hindu God Muruga – Kurinji Andavar

Kurinji Flower, which blooms once in 12 years, is a bright blue-bell shaped flower found on the hill slopes of Western Ghats in South India. The flower is also associated with Hindu God Muruga – son Shiva and Parvati. He is worshipped as Kurinji Andavar – at a temple in Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu. The neelakurinji flowers last bloomed in 2018 and will bloom in 2030 again in the Western Ghats especially in Munnar (Kerala), Nilgri Hills, Udhagamandalam (Ooty) and Kodaikannal region (Tamil Nadu). The Kurinji season is from August 2030 and October 2030. Position of Dressing Table in Bedroom as Per Vastu

As per Hindu vastu beliefs, dressing table is allowed in bedroom. But one should be careful about the positioning of it in the bedroom. While keeping the dressing table in the bedroom one should be careful that the image of bed is not seen in the mirror. The ideal position for mirror is south or north. The head position of the bed should be in the east. Another aspect is that one should not place clock overhead. The clock also should not be seen on the mirror. The wood portion of dressing table should be of light color. Bedroom should not be on the northeast side of the house and the mirror should never be placed on the northeast corner of the bedroom.
