Ramathu Puthiya Kavu Sri Muchilottu Bhagavathi temple is located on Chethamangalam Kuzhakode Vellanur Kaithottimukku Road near Chorode in Kozhikode district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Muchilott Bhagavathi and other deities. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for two days in Malayalam Kumbha Masam – Kumbham 20 to Kumbham 23 (March 4 to March 7).
Important theyyams that can be witnessed at Ramathu Puthiya Kavu Sri Muchilottu Bhagavathi temple are Vishnumoorthi theyyam, Narambil Bhagavathi theyyam, Kannangattu Bhagavathi theyyam, Puliyoor Kali theyyam and Muchilottu Bhagavathi theyyam.
This is a small beautiful Kerala style temple with
traditional architecture. There is a chathura sreekovil for the main deity.
There are also small sreekovils and square platforms for worshipping subsidiary
deities. Some deities are worshipped under trees. Sankranti in every Malayalam
month is of great importance here.
