Pandamangalam Sri Krishna Temple – Festival

Pandamangalam Sri Krishna temple is located at Pandamangalam – Kottappadi in Malappuram district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Bhagavan Sri Krishna. The 7-day annual festival in the temple is held in Meda Masam (April – May) and coincides with Vishu. The temple is located near to Kottakkal.

The small temple has a kodimaram (flag pole), an east facing chathura sreekovil, namaskara mandapam and chuttambalam.

The annual festival is famous for Panchavadyam, pandimelam, caparisoned elephants and Vaishnava pujas and rituals including nirmala, homam, kalasham and abhishekam. Temple art forms, dance and music are also part of the annual festival.

The temple also observes Vishu, Ramayana Masam, Sri Krishna Jayanti in Chinga Masam and Vrischika Masam.

The annual prathishta festival in the temple is held in Malayalam Mithuna Masam (June - July).
