Muvattupuzha Kumara Bhajana Devaswom Temple – Festival

Muvattupuzha Kumara Bhajana Devaswom temple is located at Thottumkalpeedika, Muvattupuzha in Ernakulam district, Kerala. The shrine is maintained by SNDP and is dedicated to Muruga or Subrahmanya. The annual festival in the temple is held in Kumbha Masam and is famous as the Kumbha Pooyam Mahotsavam.

The shrine is located atop a hill and it has unique Chuttambalam. The temple has a chathura sreekovil, kodimaram and namaskara mandapam. There are shrines of upa devatas. The temple has modern sculptures.

The annual festival in the temple is famous for Kavadi procession, colorful pageantry, lights and performing art forms of Kerala.

The temple observes all the important dates associated with Sri Narayana Guru.

Shivratri, Thaipooyam, Vinayaka Chaturthi, Thrikarthika and Skanda Sashti are of importance in the temple.
