Thiruvanikkavu temple is located at Krishnapuram near Ollukkara in Thrissur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali. The darshanam of Thiruvanikkavu temple at Krishnapuram is towards west.
The Upa Devta worshipped in the temple is Kshetrapalan. The murti of Goddess Bhadrakali is carved in wood – Dharu Vigraham.
The annual festival is held on Bharani nakshatra in Kumbha month and is known as Vela festival.
As per history the temple belonged to Komarapuram Nambidikal who were the Naduvazhikal of the region. As per another belief the temple belonged to Keezhuttukara Kadalail Namboothiri of Perumanam village. The reason for the belief that the temple might have belonged to Namboothiri family is due to the presence of Namaskara Mandapam in the temple.
