Cheranelloor Shiva temple is located at Koovappady (around 8 km north to Perumbavoor) in Ernakulam district, Kerala. The temple is one among the 108 Shiva temples in Kerala. Darshanam of Cheranalloor Shiva is towards east.
The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Ganapathy and Ayyappan.
The 8-day annual festival in the temple concludes with arattu on Thiruvathira nakshatra in Kumbham month.
The temple is now managed by Ooranma Devasom. As per history, the temple belonged to Moothedom, Edasseri, Koramburu and Mooppilappally illams.
