Anakulangara Temple At Mutholy Near Pala

Anakulangara temple is located at Arunapuram in Mutholy village near Pala in Kottayam district, Kerala. The main deities worshipped in the Aanakulangara temple are Goddess Durga and Goddess Bhadrakali. The deities face east.

Thrikarthika in Vrischikam month and Pathamudayam in Medam are the important festival dates in the temple.

The temple belonged to a community that arrived here from neighboring Tamil Nadu to do business.

An ancient manuscript (ola) associated with the temple belonging to kollavarsham 900 was retrieved from the Chettiar community.

The community had built the temple and a business center in Pala. They got the permission for this from Meenachil Karthavu, who was a local ruler.
