Jagadamba Yatra is organized in Chaitra month. It is the
annual festival and fair held at Jagadamba temple at Gondegaon in Shrirampur
Taluka of Ahmednagar district in Maharashtra. Gondegaon Jagadamba Yatra 2024 date is April 13.
Mother Goddess Jagdamba is a manifestation of Goddess
Shakti and is a Gram Devata.
The shrine is decorated for the occasion with lamps, lights,
leaves, flowers etc for the occasion. Food donation is also held during the
period.
Various rituals are performed during the period especially those
associated with Shakti worship. Hundreds of people participate in the various
fair and festival organized on the occasion.
Jagadamba Yatra at Gondegaon is observed on Chaitra Shukla
Paksha Panchami Tithi or the fifth day during the waxing phase of moon Chaitra
month as per traditional Hindu lunar calendar followed in Maharashtra.
