When Shri Ram Mandir at 11 Brict st at Henderson in West Auckland in New Zealand will be opened on June 13, it will be the largest Largest Hindu Temple Dedicated Lord Ram in Southern Hemisphere. It must be noted here that there are numerous Hindu Temples and a sizable Hindu Population in Fiji, Australia and New Zealand in Southern Hemisphere.

The 5 million dollar temple complex is built by the Shri Ram Mandir Charitable Trust

Some Facts about 
The temple is a three storied
The Temple is on the top floor with paintings and sculptors of various Hindu deities.
The second floor is community center and the basement is used for storage and other facilities.
Imported marble from India was used for construction.
All murtis (idols) in the temple are carved from a single block.

Stuff New Zealand reports
 The community centre has a stage and two changing rooms and commercial kitchen.
Trustee Shiu Charan says the space is for everyone not just Hindus.
"We're all the same as far as humanity is concerned and we want to see greater interaction between multi-ethnic communities."
Plans for the temple were first floated more than five years ago and construction began in July 2012.
The trust funded the project through donations, fundraising and through different grant schemes.
