Poush Month 2017 – 2018 in North Indian Hindu Calendar – Paush Mahina 2018



Poush Mahina is the tenth month in a traditional Hindi calendar followed in North India. Paush Month 2017 - 2018 begins on December 4, 2017, and ends on January 2, 2018. This calendar is followed mainly in Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Haryana, Bihar, Orissa, Chhattisgarh and other North Indian states. A month in these regions is calculated from the day after Purnima or full moon to the next Purnima. The current year in the Hindi Calendar is Saka 2074.

Note - It must be noted that Poush month in calendars followed in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka begins on December 19, 2017, and ends on January 17, 2018.

Chaturthi Vrat or Sankashti Ganesh Chaturti in Poush Month 2018 is on December 6. The Chandrodaya or Moonrise time as per North Indian calendars is 8:10 PM.
