Shravan Maas is the fifth month in a traditional Marathi calendar followed in Maharashtra and is a highly auspicious month. Shravan Month 2013 is from August 7 to September 5. The month is highly auspicious and staunch Hindus do not eat meat products and perform different types of pujas. Mondays is dedicated to Shiva Pooja and on Tuesdays women perform Mangala Gowri Puja. Other important festivals and auspicious days include Nag Panchami, Narli Purnima, Sri Krishna Jayanti and Dahi Handi.
Sankashti Chaturthi monthly fasting dedicated to Lord Ganesh in Shravan Month is on August 24 – Moonrise or Chandrodaya is at 9:12 PM – Indian Standard Time.

Monday – Shiva Puja
Tuesday – Mangala Gouri Puja
Wednesday – Budha Puja
Thursday – Brihaspati Puja
Friday – Jara Jivantika Puja
Saturday – Maruti Puja
Sunday – Aditya Puja
Shravan Maas Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha
Shravan Mahina 2013 Shukla Paksha (Waxing phase of moon) is from August 7, 2012 to August 21.
Shravan Maas 2013 Krishna Paksha (Waning phase of moon) is from August 21 to September 5, 2013.
Purnima in Marathi Shravan Maas
Shravan Pournima or Full moon day is on August 21, 2013. The Purnima begins at 10:22 AM on August 20 and ends at 7:14 AM on August 21. Raksha Bandhan and Narial Purnima are observed on August 20. Rik Shravani is also on the day.
Amavasi in Marathi Shravan Maas
Shravan Amavasya or No moon day is on September 5. The Amavasi begins at 4:21 PM on September 4 and ends at 5:06 PM on September 5. Pola is observed on September 5. Pithori Amavasya is on September 4.

Aja Ekadasi – September 1
Shravan Mahina Pradosh
Pradosh – August 18
Pradosh – September 2 - Som Pradosh as it on Monday

Please note that Shravan month 2013 in traditional Hindu calendar followed in North India is from July 23 to August 21.
Shravan Maas in Gujarat , Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka is similar to the Marathi Calendar.
Next month in Marathi calendar is the Bhadrapad Month.
